Sheila L. (Fambro) Edmonds, age 78, of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at home. She was the daughter of Melvin Fambro Sr. and Mrs. Dorothy L. (Gideon) Fambro Guy, and Edward R. Guy Sr. Born in Springfield, OH, on August 6, 1947, she later moved to Dayton.
Sheila was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1966, and worked as a Finance Specialist for the family business, Edmonds' Mechanical Contractors, as well as MVCDC. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Frederick E. Edmonds, for 55 beautiful years, and together they raised two lovely daughters.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; three uncles, Kenneth Gideon, Robert Guy, and Herschel Guy; brothers ,Edward R. Guy Jr. and Melvin Fambro Jr.; and her loving niece, Dana Wright Sweat.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick E. Edmonds; daughters, Michelle L. Edmonds and Heather (Michael) Henning; two granddaughters; brother James (Theresa) Fambro; sisters, Marva J. Scott (Hamburger), Kennetha Russell, and Kathy DelRio; aunts Elenor Guy and Shirley Gideon; cousin/brother, William Miller; sister‑in‑law, Sandra (Charles) Ceasars; and brother‑in‑law, Aurelius Edmonds. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, goddaughters, extended family members, and friends.
Services will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Inspiration Church, 2900 Philadelphia Drive. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the service immediately following. Livestream will be available at The Inspiration Church Channel. Interment: Woodland Cemetery.
